Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. It's hard to believe only 2 years has passed since the husband and I wedded in joyful bliss...OK but seriously. So much has happened over the past 2 years and I am thankful for all of it every day. I am so lucky to have Deo as my husband. I wanted to post our vows and I know I saved them somewhere, but I can't find them. I guess I'll have to type them up from our wedding video so I can have them.

Buckelew Bugaboo

For Trey's first Halloween season, I thought it would be fun to go to a pumpkin patch and pick our very own pumpkins. I actually had never done this before but am definitely committed to it now. Sunday afternoon we headed out to Buckelew Farms. We ended up spending a little more money than we thought we would, but it was a good way to round out our fun-filled weekend.

Friday, Deo and Trey met me at work and we walked over to the UA Bookstore to see what kind of good sales they had. Every Friday before a home game, the Bookstore has "Wildcat Fridays" where a bunch of clothing is discounted. I got a cute be-dazzled Arizona shirt and Deo got a UA straw hat...no joke, you'll see it later. Then we headed down University Blvd. to watch the Pride of Arizona march down the street. We finished off the evening with some dee-lish pizza from No Anchovies. Saturday morning we took Trey to his first movie, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs in 3D. He slept through the first hour of the movie and woke up kind of freaked out, wondering why Mommy and Daddy were wearing these huge, black goggles. After the movie we went to the Arizona football game, ate some hot dogs and super nachos, and beat UCLA. The weekend rounded with some Steeler football Sunday morning and Buckelew Farms after. Such a packed weekend but had so much fun!

And in this corner, weighing in at 19 pounds and 10 ounces, Trey Diaz

So Trey's been 6 months now for almost 2 weeks. I guess he's almost 7 months at this point (CRAZY)! I've been meaning to post his stats but I think I lost the paper the doctor gave us. Basically, out kid is big. At weigh in he was just over 19 lbs, which by now I'm sure is at least 20. He was in the 75%-90% for both height and weight. He also had his follow-up x-ray for his collar bone and the doc said everything healing as it should. Trey doesn't even seem to be bothered by it at all at this point so I think we're safe. Phew...dodged that bullet!

For Trey's 6 month birthday, we did what every baby wants to do...PICTURES! But no seriously...my baby loves them. He is such a little cheese for the camera. It's like he's got a radar that tells him someone has a camera and I need to have the biggest smile ever for it. We had our friend Nando take the pictures at Reid Park. Adam and Julie brought Ella and Cole for pictures too. We tried to get some of them all together, and each individually. I'm anxiously waiting to see them as I think we got some really good ones! I'll be sure to post when they're ready. In the mean time..here are some prime examples of my little cheese:

Dear Sleep, Where Have You Gone? Love, Sarah

It's been one of the hectic times where I think to myself, "will my life always be like this?" The lack of sleep is starting to wear on me. I think its really a curse to have a good sleeping newborn, only to have a non-sleeping infant. OK, so I'm exaggerating a little. Trey does sleep, but he is starting to teeth pretty bad so I think that is what is disturbing his, and my, sleep. He's a pretty good routine. He'll fall asleep around 8:00, wake up around 10:30, wake up around 12:30, sometimes wake up around 2:00, wake up around 5:30, and then will usually stay asleep until we're ready to head out of the door. Luckily, this week he's been skipping his 2:00am wake up call which has been nice. At least I can get somewhat of a large chunk of uninterrupted sleep. In addition to the teething, I think he's hitting a growth spurt so when he does wake up, he's starvin' marvin. It is getting better now that we've hit a turning point with food. I try to stuff him as full as I can before he goes to sleep and that helps with the wakefulness, too. Its definitely difficult to slug through work especially since it's been so busy. I literally fall into bed every night in exhaustion, only to be awaken a couple hours later. But now that I've got all my complaining out of the way....

Trey got his first tooth! It finally broke. It's a bottom one and it looks so cute when he gaps his mouth open to laugh. As I mentioned prior, we hit a turning point with food. He wasn't too fond of it at first, but I kept trying and now he's a little eating champ. He LOVES peaches, but will pretty much eat any other fruit; grapes, strawberries, apples, pears. I've been force feeding vegetables which he hated at first. I'm glad I did because now he loves carrots and sweet potatoes. Still not to fond of any green veggie...NOT like his mama. But we're still trying. He also sits up on his own and can scoot forward by pushing his little toes into the floor. He's getting so big now and is such a little boy. Yesterday he came from the sitters and his socks were filthy dirty. I don't know how a 6 month old gets his socks that dirty? Definitely his fathers' son!
