What's Your Super-Hero Power?

Out of all the things one could have a knack for, wouldn't be nice to have something useful? Well I think my special ability is very useful. I have this unique ability that comes in handy quite often. For some reason, I have the ability to always be somewhere "just at the right time." Now I know what you are thinking, this means I am never late. But this is not what this power does. Let me explain, Deo and I will go to the movie theater, walk-up to wait in line for tickets and a minute later 50 people will come out of nowhere and get in line behind us. I will go out to lunch with friends and walk right up to the counter to order our food. 30 seconds later, 20 people will arrive and get in line behind us. For some reason, I always get at a place right before it get's crazy busy. I joke with Deo that it is my super hero power to arrive just before the crowd. However, for every super hero power, there is just an equal kryptonite, if you will. I found that grocery stores weaken my power. Almost every place that I can think of, my power will execute just fine; but I have no effect on grocery store lines. Maybe the Evil Mastermind, Dr. Fry's, is my arch nemesis?

New Kicks

Between my infatuation with shoes and Deo's obesession with Nike's, our poor kid doesn't stand a chance. Here are Trey's first Jordans. We actually got them as a gift from some family friends and he just now grew into them. I have a feeling there will be more to come seeing as how Deo's used to work at Nike and still has many friends who can get us awesome discounts!

Before and After

I always like to make some type of Christmas ornament or craft for family members. This year, I thought I could make really cute ornaments with Trey's little handprints. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do or how I would do them, but I had visions of making little snowflakes out of his handprint. Well, I found these really cute foam snowmen at Michaels so I thought I could use them and jazz 'em up with some blue and silver paint. Well, getting a 9 month old to give you a decent handprint is more difficult that I imagined.

Here is the BEFORE....(luckily the panit was non-toxic as you can see he started eating it!)...

And here is the AFTER.....

Not quite what I had "envisioned," but I think they turned out cute none-the-less and now I can always remember how funny he was whem making them :)

My Little Guido!

So our Italian heritage is finally coming through. Trey LOVES spaghetti, which makes him OK in my book. Next, I'll just have to teach him out to fist pump and use a gallon of gel to spike his hair ;) Sorry, a little too much Jersey Shore for me ;)

It's a Biggin'

We got our Christmas tree up this weekend. I was excited to make it extra special since we decided to do Christmas Eve at our house this year. Nothing big, probably just my brother and sister and maybe some friends. Also, I wanted to make Trey's first xmas extra special (even though he won't remember it, but that's why we have pictures!). So we ended up getting a 10 foot noble. You know, just trying to keep it casual! I think it turned out nice though. I was excited because we found one that was tall and skinny...which fits perfects in our cozy house.

And yes, those are Mario Bros. pajama pants Deo is wearing!
