We hung out most of the day by running small errands before our trip. We did a small BBQ with just us at home and then went to Reid Park to watch the fireworks from the baseball game. It was so nice out at the park once the sun started to go down. We brought a soccer ball (as we have seem to caught some futbol fever) and just played around. Adam, Julie, and their kids met up with us and it was just a relaxing time hanging out the park, watching some fireworks.
It made me appreciate the simple things in life. We don't take a step back and just enjoy each other often enough. It made me appreciate living in this country where we are free to do just that. Happy Birthday America. As much as I complain about you...you're actually a pretty cool place to live!
